Chengziguan is a traditional hat for men with Chinese origins, and the key feature of the same is that it is made from horsehair. It was worn in China and even countries where China had its influence, such as Korea. It was a daily or casual wear hat worn at home and not on formal occasions.

Another distinctive feature of the hat was its shape. The hat’s base was cylindrical and fit well on the head; however, there was a veil-like see-through material protruding from all around the hat pointing upward. This protrusion had multiple inverted arches-like shapes all around.

Generally, Chengziguan was black in color and worn by kings of at least five dynasties and some renowned philosophers too.
