The Barretina is a catholic culture traditional cap worn by men as a symbol of Catalan identity (Independence). Barretina is a brimless wool hat shape of a bag, and top flopped down in red or purple-red. Barretina is a popular hat used until the 19th century in the Mediterranean Sea (Catalonia, the Valencian Community, the Balearic Islands, Provence, Malta, Sicily, Sardinia, Corsica), some parts of the Balkans, part of Portugal, and part of a Nepal.
