A Patrol Cap is similar to a baseball cap with a cylindrical crown and a slightly curved brim. It is a camouflaged variant of a Kepi and is worn by soldiers when a combat helmet is not required. It has a soft, unstructured crown so it can be folded and tucked inside the pocket when not worn. Further, the soft material helps in wearing for long hours.
Most patrol caps come with a snap or a velcro closure, and therefore, one size fits more heads. Further, they are more comfortable and fit well on the head, which is necessary for a combat situation where the wearer should not be worried about the cap falling while moving quickly.
