A Party Hat is a conical hat made from rolling cardboard or thick paper. It has playful and colorful print and is generally worn on birthdays and parties. The hat’s tip is decorated with a tassel or a pom made of shiny paper bits that make the hat more attractive.
The Party hat doesn’t cover the entire wearer’s head and rests neatly on a portion of the head. Generally, it is worn at a slant as that gives a more cheerful appearance. Some hats might even have a furry lining around the headband and a chin-string to hold the cap in its place.
A Party hat is similar to the hat worn by students who behave foolishly and is therefore known as a dunce hat. Therefore, as per custom, people wearing a party hat are expected to behave foolishly or childishly in a playful manner.
