Also known as a sailor’s cap, Dixie Cup Hat is a white canvas round hat worn by sailors or navy personnel. It is similar to a bucket hat, but instead of the brim drooping down, it is folded upwards evenly all around the crown. It forms a moat around the crown. The crown at the center is made of six panels of cloth sewn together.

The most common color of Dixie Cup Caps is white, matching the navy uniform; however, these are available in other colors, such as blue or black. They have a snug fit around the crown, with the cap covering a little portion of the forehead too.

The cap is unstructured and can be easily folded and tucked in a pocket when not worn. The folded brim is very broad, and therefore, only a portion of the crown is visible from the front, like the tip of an iceberg.
