A Sombrero is a wide-brimmed Mexican hat with the brim’s edge folded upward and a conical crown at the hat’s center. As the brim is too wide, there is a chinstrap to keep the hat stable.

The wide brim is a distinctive feature; however, the crown can have other shapes than the conical shape if they originated from different parts of Spanish-speaking countries. Sometimes, Sombrero can have a similar shape as to a cowboy hat or a boater, with a wide brim.

Sombrero is great for sun protection. Further, there is a classic beige or cream-colored Sombrero, the most popular one, but there can be other colored and decorated ones, such as black ones worn by the Mariachi musicians.
