Sami hat is a traditional men’s hat from Sami. It is also known as the Four Winds Hat and has four pieces of cloth arranged in a star pattern, coming out of its crown. The hat’s base is cylindrical and has a braid pattern on the headband.
The traditional Sami hat has a fixed color combination with a blue base, red braid-work, and red and yellow patterns on the star. Further, the four corners are stuffed with bird feathers to provide warmth to the wearer.
Sami hat is decorated to convey the wearer’s affluence and marital status.
