Chullo is a Beanie-like knitted cap with ear flaps. Another Spanish origin cap, Chullo, is made from the wool of various animals such as sheep, llama, or alpaca. It is naturally a warm-weather cap and has a chin strap or a drawstring to tie the flaps under the chin.

It is a popular cap in the Andean Mountains, worn by the indigenous people. Therefore, Chullo is a hybrid between the native Andean caps and the Spanish birretes.

Chullo is made from different colored yarns to make it more decorative and even has some animal designs knitted on it, generally reindeer.
