Busby fur hat is a military headgear made of fur. The shape of the cap varies from country to country. The original Hungarian version had a cylindrical shape and cloth bag hanging at its back, from the top. This cloth back would be attached to the right shoulder to prevent cuts from warfare artillery.
The British Busby had two variants. The one that the Royal Guards wear at the Buckingham Palace is the Hussar Busby. It is cylindrical with a cloth bag. The other variant is known as the Rifle Busby, foldable and worn by the rifle regiment in the British army. Each had a straight feather at the front.
Most times, warmer materials are used, such as animal fur or sheepskin, depending upon the cold weather
